Sustainable development

We adhere to a set of standards and strategies for sustainable construction, from design through to the end of a building’s useful life.

Sustainable design and integration with the natural environment

Improving structural engineering efficiency to reduce steel usage
We implement smart engineering solutions to reduce our carbon footprint, water usage, and raw material consumption
Industrial buildings are assembled without welding, which reduces the amount of energy required for their construction
Recycling, Reuse, and Recovery of Construction Materials

Americans Parks

In new developments, at least 40% of the land is set aside for green spaces.

The indoor environment has been improved, creating microclimates within the industrial complex.

The vegetation provides shade for the buildings and reduces the need for air conditioning.

Planting native plants to reduce negative environmental impacts and benefit the project by helping to regulate temperature.

Permeable streets and sidewalks allow rainwater to reach the aquifer and recharge it.

The parks are equipped with industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants.

We treat more than 6,000 m³ of water annually at the municipal wastewater treatment plant.

We reuse water during the dry season to water green spaces and gardens.

We collect rainwater.

Zero net water impact in new developments.

Waste

We have a recycling center where recyclable materials such as cardboard, paper, wood, and electronic waste are sorted.

We recycle more than 1,000 tons of waste each year.

We promote the circular economy, not only in our own operations, but also with our customers and partners.

We support the municipality by cleaning rivers and streams.

We are the first group of industrial parks in the region powered entirely by renewable energy.

We are among the top five solar energy producers in El Salvador.

We use LED lighting both inside and outside our industrial parks.

All of our current developments feature rooftop solar panels.
